Position is for an Engineer with a background in testing C# Web or C++ Products via automation and has a desire to ensure Quality in the products they test. The position will be on a Scrum Team and as such the individual will be relied upon as a QA resource and skill set on the Scrum team.  The position will require heavy use of automation skill sets in one or more of the following automation tools; Test Complete, White Architecture, Selenium, AutoIT and/or an in house product to run C#, C++ or JAVA scripts.

 

• Able to perform white box testing on C# Web or C++ Products written in C# or C++.
• Understand basic components of C# .Net web or C++ Products and be able to isolate root cause of defects.
• Strong desire to do automated testing as much as possible using Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Test Complete, White Architecture, Selenium or proprietary tools centered around C#, C++ and/or JavaScript. HP/Mercury based products are not in use and candidate should not rely on automation skills focused on point and click solutions.
• Ability to constructively question methods and practices used by other teammates to ensure a quality deliverable and overall quality release.
• C#, C++ or JavaScript used in creating/maintaining test cases
• Understanding of QA practices in terms of test plans and their executions.
• Ability to work with remote teams in several locations around the globe and over communicate issues either written or verbally.
• Take pride in being able to find ways to break software as desired.
• Networking concepts  that allow you to install and setup test environments
• Understanding of all Windows operating systems from Windows 2003 and XP forward .
• Contributing to the documentation of articles/technical notes for the products knowledge base.

 

4 year degree in a Computer Science related field with at least 2 years of experience in a software development/QA environment OR similar combination of education/work experience. At least 6 months experience creating automation tests (Unit, non functional or functional) that require script generation instead of point and click recorded automation. Test Driven Development may be substituted for automation testing experience.
